Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said he is confident in the players he already has at his disposal to not bat an eye-lid should they miss out on Gareth Bale... Madrid have been strongly linked with a reported £100million move for the Tottenham star, with Ancelotti having recently revealed the club’s hierarchy were indeed working towards bringing the Welshman to the Bernabeu. However, Real president Florentino Perez may have poured cold water on the deal after he claimed Spurs’ asking price for their prized asset was too excessive. Ancelotti, though, believes ‘Los Merengues’ may not even need Bale’s services at the end of the day, with the Italian backing the likes of new comers Isco and Asier Illarramendi, along with youngsters Alvaro Morata and Jese Rodriguez, to impress for the Spanish giants. “We’re ready to start the season,” the 54-year-old said after Real’s 3-0 win over Inter Milan in a pre- season friendly on Saturday. “I’m happy with what I have, why talk about Bale if Morata and Jese played so well today. “I’m very happy about them, they’re very young but they have great ability. The team was tired but the game had been very good. “We’ve played well with an offensive style and offered a great image. The last game of the pre- season was a good one, with intensity and good play. We have delivered.
