LATEST UPDATE: It is 3:31am here in holland and Ive just finished packing. In less than 4 hours I must get up, get dressed and head to the airport to catch a flight to New York. Im about to do something that some may call crazy, some may call brave, some may call inspiring...but what I call necessary! Im heading to New York with the plan to head down to Antarctica either next week Monday or Tuesday. Im going to NYC without being fully funded! Im still missing approximately 3,519usd! Is it a huge risk? YES! Is there a potential for failure? YES! Do I believe in this project so much that Im willing to risk failure? YES! Great things were not achieved by simply sitting back and doing nothing. Ive taken on the responsibility and started something...now I must finish! I owe it to the people who have supported me, I owe it to the people who have donated, and most importantly...I owe it to the people still trapped in the clutches of Human Trafficking. The latest news: - Flight is booked to New York. I leave in a couple hours and I will wait there for a couple days before heading down to Chile. - I have all the supplies I need for that first leg. I still need to get compression socks, a stopwatch and sort out a place to stay in Punta Arenas, Chile. - The Australian transit visa is still in process. Waiting to hear back from them soon. - I was interviewed by Trinidad & Tobago news channel CNC3 for a short while where I had the opportunity to explain the challenge a bit. I hope everyone is well!
