LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. — An autopsy is planned to determined what caused the death of a rural Lawrenceville man. County coroner Shannon Steffey said that Joseph A. Deckers vehicle was found submerged in a ditch along a road in rural northeastern Lawrence County on Saturday. Decker, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the incident continues involving the state police, the sheriffs department and the coroners office.
