LAZY WAYS, Today, our Lord God wants us to focus on the way we do things. Is there a sluggish way about us? Do people trust us? Are we reliable? Are we always late for meetings, appointments, and are we slacking in our approach to doing the Lord’s work? Is there a lack of urgency in the things we do? The Lord wants to use us, and this is non-negotiable. The Lord’s encouragement will not come by just reading this daily devotional; IT WILL COME WHEN WE PUT WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO US TO GOOD USE. Ecclesiastes 10:18 If a man is lazy, the rafters sag; if his hands are idle, the house leaks. I pray we would never forget Ecclesiastes 10:18. The Lord our God is clearly telling us what happens to us when we are lazy and idle: our roof begins to sag and our house will leak. Our body, our life and our soul is our house. IT ALL BELONGS TO THE LORD. WE WERE BOUGHT AT A PRICE. Right now, how is your house? Is it well taken care of or are internal rafters sagging? Are there leaks anywhere? I pray we would fix our rafters and holes today. We could be leaking the Lord’s blessings and the ability to bear fruit. It is time to break this! Proverbs 10:4 Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. The Lord our God despises laziness. I pray we would develop a sense of urgency today to fulfil our Lord’s work. However, I pray we would not be too carried away beyond what our Lord wants us to focus on. If we are running around aimlessly, this too does not please our Lord.
