LCC School of Business Receives Accreditation By Dr. Vidal Martinez LCC Vice President of Instruction I am proud and excited to announce that the LCC-School of Business has received specialized accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The ACBSP Board of Commissioners has voted to grant accreditation to LCC-School of Business with opportunities for improvement. This indicates that the School of Business has met the criteria set forth in the standards outlined by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Opportunities for improvement indicate that the Standard has been met, and are suggestions to help move the School of Business from good to great. The School of Business will be fully accredited in its associate degrees and signifies a continuous commitment to quality education in northeastern New Mexico. First and foremost, I want to thank the Academic Advisory Team (AAT) from the School of Business: Amanda Lucero, Elaine Ortega, Harry Anderson, Dolores Gutierrez, Meta Levister, and Brendaleigh Lobato. Also the self-study contributors: Wanda Martinez, Denise Montoya, Johnathan Ortiz, Denise Gibson, and Sandra Rivera. Finally, the site visit would not have been successful without the dedicated work of all LCC departments, to include: The Admissions & Recruitment Office, Title V, Access Center, Office of the Registrar, Facilities, and Information Technology. In the fall, the School of Business will host its first annual Community Advisory Board (CAB) meeting and will establish a chapter of the Kappa Beta Delta International Honor Society for students majoring in Business. I want to personally thank all LCC employees for their dedication and support in this endeavor. Accreditation truly helps our students!
