LEKAN BALOGUN, OYELESE IBADAN BIG POLITICAL ALMAJIRIS ACCORD has described two political stalwarts of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state as political almajiris with nothing to offer the people/inhabitants of the state. Apparently reacting to publication in a national daily - The Nation newspaper of Monday June 10, 2013 in which they castigated the coming together of two former governors of oyo state in the persons of Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja and Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala. Alhaji Lanre Latinwo in press release made in Ibadan stated that the duo have no political relevance and are political almajiris. The duo, Lanre Latinwo, further stressed has lost political bases but was ready to dance the dance of shame before anybody ready to pay for their services. Senator Lekan Balogun who is from Lagelu Local Government lost woefully to 3 months old party – Accord having switched his allegiance from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)/Labour Party (LP). He practically lost in his ward 6, Lagun Area. In fact, in his confused state he fielded a candidate on the Labour Party ticket. He now claims that he is a member of the PDP in Oyo state. Equally, paper weight Elder Wole Oyelese lost his base at Ward 1, Erunmu-Egbeda Local Government to Accord. He is noted for unwarranted attacks on notable people in order to draw attention to himself. Like Senator Lekan Balogun, Oyelese is ready to dance in the market square even for a bowl of porridge. We gathered that he is seriously sourcing for funds to defray the bills of his in-laws final burial billed for somewhere in Ekiti State. He has also lost his financial source in Abuja owing to his colourless political clout. The coming of Ladoja and Akala is not meant to raise any dust as the two became enemies as a result of the beggary attitude of Senator Balogun, Elder Oyelese and others that fuelled the ember of discord. It would be recalled that Senator Balogun was one of the main financiers of the illegal impeachment of Senator Ladoja because Senator Ladoja did not allow them to have access to the government vault. Elder Wole Oyelese who is now complaining that Senator Ladoja did not perform well as a governor was given a mere contract job for the placement of students into schools; he, messed up the whole exercise. Perennial governorship aspirant Elder Oyelese, like an almajiri goes where his bread can be buttered not minding what the outcome might be. To put record straight, the coming together of Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja and Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala need not be anything other than the coming together of brothers torn apart by these almajiris. Their coming together has brought about a cross fertilisation of ideas on civil bases and not for fighting option. The complaint that the People Democratic Party (PDP) is not in the picture of the meeting of the two is a private issue. Senator Balogun and Elder Oyelese are known for their crafty habit when they need relief materials from Abuja then they claim to be working for PDP. The Federal Government of Nigeria is now working on how to occupy the almajiris in meaningful endeavours. We appeal to Senator Lekan Balogun and Elder Wole Oyelese to occupy themselves with meaningful things and leave the parley of Senator Ladoja and Otunba Akala alone. No more war between the brothers
