LESSON 16 :THE INTERNET AND EDUCATION REFLECTION: What is Internet? How useful was the Internet in our life nowadays? The Internet is a global network connecting millions of computers. Teachers today are trained on how to use internet and how they could integrate it into teaching .Numerous seminars and workshop are provided by the department of education to train the teachers . Text, images and sounds are linked together to allow users to access data as information needed. However internet surfacing is quite confusing as those who are not well acquainted with the internet .Today teachers provide assignments and research to their pupils or students by using the internet .There are also programs that the teachers were not inside the classroom far from his/her students but were able to teach them or have his/her discussion by the use of computer application such as chatting , e-mail or the use of Skype where they can see face to face but yet far from each other .Another example on the use of internet is you can easily trace a location or a certain city by using Google map instead of using the globe . If you want to search for videos or video clips or share it then you can use YouTube . Many people also joined Facebook which is widely used all over the world wherein they met several friends when they will visit this site. That is how powerful the internet could do.
