LESSON 3 OUR SPIRITUAL POSITION, WALK AND WARFARE…. ENTERING INTO THE BATTLE FIELD… TODAY we enter into the battlefield. We must be ready for warfare and the first thing to do, according to the Scripture is to be... PROPERLY DRESSED FOR BATTLE. Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6:11 put on the whole Armor of God! If we go about our daily life UNPROTECTED, we become an easy Target of the enemy. Realize that each Pieces of Armor had a definite Purpose to provide maximum protection of the Soldier. For this reason, the Scripture say, put on the WHOLE Armor… WHAT ARE THE ARMOR? 1) Beautiful Helmet of Salvation…Helmet protect the head. Remember that the Battle BEGINS in our MIND. It is the Entry point of the Devil, all sinful imagination, sinful desires and sinful motives. The HELMET of Salvation where our MINDS are PROTECTED.. 2) Breastplate of Righteousness. When the devil cannot attack our Minds because of our Helmet fully in-place. a) Their next easy Target is our EMOTION. b) B) Breastplate Protects our FEELINGS. Manifested in us by the way we RE-ACT on circumstances and situation around us. Minsan kapag pinag bibintangan tayo, ilalait kung ano-anong paninira sa atin. Papa-ano tayo mag re-act? Kapag pinatulan natin ang lahat ng pambabatikos sa atin. Iki-natutuwa ng mga demonyo, naisahan niya tayo nalinlang na buyo sa kasalanan. Ito ang ibig mangyari ng mga demomyo. Biktima tayo ng ating sariling kamalian at hindi gawa ng kalaban. Ating Bantayan palaging pag handaan ang ating pakikipag-usap. Maging ma-ingat sa pananalita at mag pigil ng dila na sanhi ng pag laki ng Apoy na bubulid sa ating kapahamakan. Therefore, in this Battle we become the Victim not of the Devils Action, BUT A VICTIM OF OUR REACTION. The Bible reminds us to renew our MIND…. 3) BELT of TRUTH. It’s neither weapon for defense nor offense. Belt brings comport and freedom (the truth shall set you free). The truth brings comport and confidence in our movements so that you can live in truth (Freedom), walk in truth and testify in TRUTH. The Truth.. Sa Katotohanan natin mababatid kung tama ba ang landas na ating tinatahak, kapag hindi natin alam ang katotohanan madali tayong madala sa maling pamumuhay. Ang kamangmangan ay paraan ng kalaban upang ilayo tayo sa tamang relasion sa tao at maging sa Dios. 4) Sandal of PEACE.. Gives protection from rough roads of Life. Sandals of Peace reminds us that in this Battle, wherever we go, whatever we ENCOUNTER. WE ARE PEACEMAKER… James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Maraming LANDAS na tatahakin ang pananampalataya. Sa bawat LANDAS nararapat tayong handa na maging taga pamayapa. 5) SHIELD of FAITH It’s neither about How we think nor how we Feel. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths. When Satan cannot attack our Minds and Emotion, he finds other vulnerable areas on our lives potential to weaken and Disable Us. Faith is our dependence in the Lord, no matter how many fiery arrows; we can safety stand behind the protection of Faith. Faith is seeing the reality of God. 6) SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, GOD’S HOLY WORD… a) Our Only OFFENSIVE Weapon. b) The Sword is when we Share the Gospel to the lost. c) We cannot make exploit of the enemies ground if we don’t know how to use and share God’s Word. d) The word of God Shared is the ONLY place in our SPIRITUAL WARFARE that the devil is HURT and Exploited. Paul specifically remind us to put on the FULL ARMOR of GOD. Never God intended us to be HALF-DRESSED in the Battle. Do you want to grow in your Relationships with Jesus? Do you want to be use by God? Know you’re spiritual Battle. And all you need to be Victorious, Thy Hand Provided. All we must do is to make a decision to put it on and realize that the best and winning position in fighting is on our KNEES. Verse 18. 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Christ won the War against Lucifer.
