LESSONS FROM SUURATUL HUJURAAT. Quran 49. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله و الصلاة و السلام علي رسول الله و بعد: This is the first of several reflections and contemplations into the 49th surah of the Glorious Quran, suuratul hujuraat. This is not a tafseer session but a platform by which we can learn some gems and jewels from the Quran and also put it into practice bi iznillah. The reminders are going to be short, straight to the point and beneficial in shaa Allah, so as to facilitate easy understanding and also do away with the boredom of reading lleennggtthhyy... (lengthy) reminders. Forgive me for making this part a bit lengthy, its the introduction to the whole series and the very first part. A WHOLISTIC OVERVIEW OF THE SUURA. Suuratul huhuraat is a madani surah made up of 18 aayaats (verses). Hujuraat, written in arabic as الحجرات simply means dwellings refering to the homes of the prophets wives. The surah basically talks about; 1. Our relationship with Allah and His messenger. 2. How to behave towards our beloved Nabiyy sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. 3. How to deal with information as and when they come. 4. Settling disputes amongst the muslim ummah. 5. Social life style, morals and all that. 6. The honourable person, who is he or she? 7.
