LESSONS FROM THE JUST CONCLUDED ELECTION IN EKITI. I hope our kids learn some great and useful lessons from the event that unfolded in Ekiti and will still unfold. The analogy is like those of students/pupils thinking exam can be passed with flying colors with last minute preparations for critical examinations. It is not what you do at the very last minute that will cut it but how you have fared over the duration of the study period. Second lesson, anything that has time respect it as the TIME the greatest word on earth will continue to tick away without prejudice to anyone. Time not well utilised will only end in regrets. Thirdly, Remember the people you used when going up and respect, them because you will meet them again on your way down. No one or nothing ever stays at the top without coming down. HUMILITY is good to have. What prompted me to write this is because one of me ex colleagues sent me a text that some former commissioners were prevented from entering their home towns. Another one was welcomed yesterday with red carpet welcome, reception, by every party PDP/APC/Labor whoever cares to bother. Will this fresh group learn from the experience of the outgone group? Time will tell. So far they know power is a very dangerous thing that can intoxicate, mislead if mishandled. Then they should be ok.
