LET SGM BE HELD ON 20TH DECEMBER I am kindly appealing to NEC and members of AFC Leopards to hold the much anticipated SGM on 20th Dec 2014. My reasons why I feel the date is ideal are as follows: Having the SGM on 6th was deliberately made time bad by nec not issueing a notice for the meeting. I learn that nec members had a meeting on 2nd and in that meeting 2 members ag Treasurer and OS said they will be unavailable on 13th dec because of tight engagements at their place of work. That leaves 20th Dec as the best date for the SGM. Lets put the interest of the club ahead first coz the reasons we are being given dont hold water. I informed that the SG Aladwa insists the SGM wont be held on that day because he has already fixed a date to have the team grace Makumbusho of a mzee from Marachi area in Busia. He is demanding 700k from the family of the mzee inorder to have the team grace their event. Of the 700k he claims 500k will go to team expenses and should be sent to club account while 200k is appearance fee/goodwill. Let the SGM be held on 20th and if nec wishes to go on with their Western tour plans they can do it as from 21st onwards. I hear that most businessmen and politicians have been contacted like Savula of Lugari and Chris Wamalwa of Bungoma to aid the western tour which includes hosting of Ingwe gala nite. All the best on that endervour. 28th Dec is not an ideal date because most members are normaly travelling up and down to usher in the new year and preparing for school reopening.
