LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME... With these above mentioned words Priest David Pullen welcomed the parents of Cazlyn Philander to the altar of the Lord. In his address to the parents, Candice and Ricardo Philander, he said: Today you bring your child to the Lords altar to receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Though Holy Baptism with water God promise His blessings, help and Fatherly protection. The child will be cleansed from inherited sins and receive a new name, Child of God. You made a good decision and until confirmation day, you as parents are now fully responsible to God. You have procured a property from God which is an investment and so you need to bring this child regularly to the Lords House, pray with and teach and be a living example to her. Instill within your child that Holy Communion is a fellowship of life with Jesus Christ. When you buy a house, you keep it maintained like for example: see to the plumbing, electricty, cleaning, paint of the property etcetera. Likewise you need to maintain this child spiritually as well as naturally and as the investment rate escalates, your childs understanding will also develop in body, soul and spirit. May Gods Son be able to touch and bless your child in every divine service.
