LET US PRAY by Yomi Ademuwagun DAY FOURTEEN - I WANT TO FIGHT! SCRIPTURE: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” – James 4:7 “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it” – Matthew 11:12 “Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.” – Genesis 25:21 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, Give me children, or Ill die! ………. “Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb.” – Genesis 30:1 & 22 MESSAGE: Beloved, any Christian who cannot fight is a bastard because our God is a God of war (Exodus 15:3), He is “The God of the armies of Israel” (1 Samuel 17:45) and He is Jehovah Sabaoth, “The LORD of Hosts” (Isaiah 47:4). You have to fight to resist the devil (James 4:7). If you don’t want to lose what you already have you must fight. In 2 Timothy 1:14, Apostle Paul advised Timothy to “guard that good thing” that was committed into his hands. If you want to make progress in life you must fight, because, for you to move forward in life some ancient gates must be lifted and some everlasting doors must be opened (Psalm 24:7). Another reason why you must fight is because of those who cannot fight for themselves such as your little children and the sick. Lastly, some things or people do not give you any option, you either fight or die. In Psalm 120:7, David cried, “I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war” and in 2 Kings 14:8-14, Amaziah did not give Jehoash any option despite his pleas and honest advice. Also, until Isaac battled God in prayer his wife remained barren and until Rachael fought with Jacob her husband, he did not have time to battle God on her behalf. I want to fight! What about you? PRAYERS: 1. Lord, empower me to fight. 2. Lord, give me the grace to submit myself to you in righteousness so that I may be able to resist the devil. 3. Jehovah Sabaoth, baptize me with your spirit of war. 4. I cut every ancient gate and break every everlasting door hindering my progress. 5. I plead the weapon of the name and the blood of Jesus against any power, principality, being or counsel that want to steal, kill or destroy anything that pertains to me. 6. Enemy of my destiny, what are you waiting for? Die by fire!
