LETS SHARE COFFEE: Sin Identified Sometimes it looks like sin is difficult to identify but that is not true, sin is quite easy to identify for possible avoidance. When I say sin now; I do not mean the very gigantic and pronounced ones that we know and run away from, I am not even talking of lie that is part of most people because it is now been christen white, black or brown depending on the type of lie you tell and your defense of same. Rom.14:23 ‘But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.’ Take a look at the last part of that scripture again and find one of the easiest ways of identifying sin. Many things don’t usually appear like sin but we do it and leave, then we begin to receive condemnation within but then we go ahead unperturbed feeling ‘I don’t think it is sin’, simply because it is not that pronounced or even clearly stated as sin. How can eating become sin for instance you may want to wonder; someone will eat and not sin another will eat and to him it has become sin; because while one is by faith the other lacks faith. How then do I identify faith in my dealings? Check out love in your dealings, what is the basis of doing what you do, if predominantly you do all things to please self, love will most likely be missing but if you consider others in your action faith will most time not be lacking and once faith is not lacking sin cannot be present. Yesterday, I talked about right hand of fellowship and this may not be far from an example of things that has or lacks faith. Normally an act of not giving the right hand of fellowship may not constitute sin to someone yet a big sin to another. While the latter did not extend the hand because he/she is by self incapacitated, the other may not extend it because of competition, the first does not lack faith while the second is without love hence sin. Check your act; if it lacks faith/love add a bit of it and be approved. Prayer: Most high God, I desire to please you always and to walk in love and faith avoiding sin, help me Lord to check my conducts daily to see it done in love and full of faith that I may be acceptable to you, help me Lord I pray.
