LETTER FROM OGBENI TO OSUN VOTERS... My Dearest Compatriot, I find it necessary to write you at this momentous period in the history of our dear state. As we are closer to another governorship election on August 9, it is appropriate to ginger ourselves up for this important civic task. I want to start by sincerely thanking you for the unwavering support you have accorded me and my administration in the last three and a half fruitful years. But for your unalloyed backing,it would have been a lot more difficult for us to come this far in our collective effort to permanently change the fortune of our state for the good of all. In three and a half years, we have been able to achieve so much; and the evidence is there for all to see. We have gone a long way in laying foundation for the socio-economic development of Osun. We are on the threshold of irreversible development; but we still have a lot more to do to cross that threshold. This precisely is why I am asking you to re-elect me, so that we can together consolidate on the work of development that we have begun. Every person is important since it is the aggregation of individuals that make a people. This is why I am reaching out to you personally - you are very Important! For me, government is above service to the people. It is about meeting their expectation for development, progress and material betterment. This is what I have devoted myself to since I assumed office as governor. You are all living witness to what my administration has done with the modest resources at our disposal. In all that we have done we have been even- handed, fair and equitable . My solemn promise was to cater to the need of all segments of society without any discrimination, and I have done this to the best of my ability. My overriding vision for Osun is to make the state an enviable hub of economic activities for all our people. It is for this reason that I ask that you give me the mandate to continue. I have confidence in your judgement. Thank you, God bless Yours Sincerely, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola. One man, one vote, in the interest of the people...
