LG Electronics has launched its 84-inch Digital Signage Display–LG 84WS70, and refers to it as the world’s first built-in IPS panel. It comes with a super high resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The built-in IPS panel offers high image reproducibility and wide viewing angles, owing to which LG claims that the 84WS70 enables people to see a brightly-coloured display from any angle. It is capable of 24 hours of continuous use as a public display. The 84-inch Digital Signage Display comes with the“Smart Energy Saving”function, which reduces power consumption by 43 percent, in comparison to the regular mode. It can also withstand high temperatures. LG 84WS70 comes with a Hybrid Type Media Player Built-In Ready (PC700, PC500) making the signage look slimmer, while helping to maintain the system conveniently. The 24/7 usage is possible in both, landscape and portrait modes. The display is equipped with numerous connectors, HDMI 1.4 and Display port 1.2 for native Quad full-HD content, to name a few. LG’s Local Dimming Technology on the 84WS70’s allows brightness to be controlled in block units. This ensures brightness and clarity providing high picture quality. The screen brightness is automatically adjusted by its surrounding illumination level. In daylight it automatically raises the brightness level for better visibility and during nights; automatically lowers the brightness to save energy. According to Mr. Hemendu Sinha, B2B Business Head, LG India“LG Ultra HD Display, the new commercial version will offer remarkable benefits to our B2B consumers.”
