LGBTI rights advocate from Cameroon found dead at home after being horrifically tortured. Ohena Lambembe was a courageous HIV/AIDS campaigner who fought for LGBTI equality despite death threats. The attack comes just a few weeks after Alternatives Cameroun, a pro-LGBTI charity that provided support for HIV+ people, was burned down in the capital of Douala. Lawyers representing LGBTI victims of hate crime in the West African state are frequently subjected to death threats. The authorities are yet to reprimand or arrest a single individual in respect to these crimes. ReachOUT urges the British Government to demand an end to homophobia and discrimination within Commonwealth nations. We remember Ohena for his bravery and dedication to equality and human rights. Our thoughts are with his friends and comrades. hrw.org/news/2013/07/16/cameroon-lgbti-rights-activist-found-dead-tortured
