LIFE IN THE GEEZER LANE - The confession of ONE APRIL FOOL - Yep, I have joined that illustrious Group, likely as one of the first this year! Just after midnight I was here on FB following a wonderful dinner and a movie at home with our resident kiddos. I got a message from little bit (they all have nicknames) asking me what I wanted to do with the chicken in the pot I started preparing for a Chicken and Dumplings meal tonight? Honestly, I had forgotten about it...so after I messaged back Just put it in a container and put it in the fridge, I thought I should go check on the condition of the chicken...it had been at simmer for quite awhile. When I opened the door to a small foyer between my dorm room and the living room and kitchen...dozens of balloons cascaded on me and I jumped back in surprise and yelped with the shock of it...they all ROARED WITH LAUGHTER. They say the expression on my face was pretty funny... I cant believe how many balloons they blew up for this event...but I am still giggling a bit over their valiant efforts, and the success it brought them. :-)
