LIFE SKETCH OF MY FATHER & SENIOR LATE SHRI J.S.L. SINHA Late Shri Jagdish Sharan Lal Sinha Advocate S/o Late Shri Munshi Baldeo Prasad Sinha was an eminent Lawyer. He passed his graduation from Agra University and then joined Accountant General’s Office at Gwalior as an upper Division clerk in 1951. After completing his Law graduation in 1953, he resigned from the service and joined the bar as district pleader on 02.12.1953 & got enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of M.P. Shri Shivdayal ji Shrivastava Advocate, who lateron become the C.J. of M.P. He was life long member of Bar Association of India and a member of Supreme Court Bar from the year 1980. He practiced in every arena of Advocacy and dealt successfully the matters relating Constitutional, Civil, Criminal, Labour, Service, Company, Revenue and Taxation field. He was very much renowned as a leading Company Law expert and had been the standing counsel of Birla Brothers including M/s J.C. Mills Ltd., M/s Grasim Industries Ltd., M/s Cimmco Birla Ltd., M/s Birla VXL Ltd., etc. He also been standing counsels under of most of the Municipalities and corporation coming under the jurisdiction of Gwalior Bench and also acted in such capacity for Town Improvement Trust, Town & Country Planning Department and Gwalior Development Authority. He was legal advisor of M/s Bhargava Industries, Shri Sharma Ayurveda Mandir, M/s Prem Motors & several other Companies. He was praised for his drafting on many occasions by Several Judges & Senior Advocate. Besides being an Advocate he was equally active in social service & Politics. He had been a member of Rotary Club for so many years and designated as Charter President of Rotary Club Mid Town. He also took an active part in India’s struggle for freedom and remained in police custody during 1942 movement after remaining absconded for more than 3 month. He took an active part in student politics, remained a life long member of Congress Party. The work as a member of Executive District Congress Committee for more than 12 years and been the Vice-President of Distt. Congress Committee Gwalior during 1966-67. He remained councilor in Municipal Corporation from 1969-1975. He remained in jail from 21.12.1978 to 27.12.1978 as a result of protesting Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s arrest. He also serve their duties in various ways in Congress Party & District Congress Committee during 1966 to Jan. 2002.
