LIFEHOUSE FRAUD UPDATE FROM WAYNE SCOTT -- GOOD NEWS! Once again, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to all who have been so supportive of LifeHouse Theater as we have sought to recover from the issues related to credit card fraud and “charge back fees.” I have good news to report! As of today, Sterling Payment Technologies has reversed course and refunded to us all of the money they originally drained from our account. After discussions begun last week, Sterling has also assured us in writing that LifeHouse Theater will not be held liable in any way for transactions related to the fraud. I wish to extend my thanks to Mike Milam, Executive Vice President of Sterling Payment Technologies, for his personal assistance and apologies. After three months of stonewalling by Sterling and by Wells Fargo Bank -- who never contacted us despite our calls for assistance -- we can now begin to put this matter behind us. Mr. Milam and I agree that LifeHouse should never have experienced the loss of funds the theater suffered and I appreciate his candor and swift action once the situation came to his attention. A few critical facts are now worth noting: - First, no season subscriber, guest, vendor, nor anyone affiliated with LifeHouse was ever at risk or in danger of having personal information compromised. We have a new merchant service provider and we are redoubling efforts to ensure complete security to every extent possible. - Second, the help of all who expressed support through social media following publication of our plight in The Sun, The Redlands Daily Facts and Inland Bulletin exerted invaluable positive pressure upon the merchant service provider to do what is only right. I truly appreciate Michel Nolan’s accurate reporting and personal concern. Everyone helped to make a difference in this! Most of all, I am grateful to all who have graciously assisted us at this challenging time with prayer and moral support, as well as financial donations to help cover hidden costs of accounting and legal fees. We thank God for the way He continues to reveal His provision through the affirming presence of His people. We look forward to continuing to serve the community in the days ahead. As our 20th season goes forward, I hope to see you here. May God richly bless you! - Wayne
