LIKE A HERMIT CRAB jsanders I am like a hermit crab This earth is not my home Jesus prepared a place for me In Heaven, my feet shall roam. Jesus said to be ready For the time, you do not know Keep your lamps burning bright Keep My word and you will grow. My name is recorded there Before time even began Written in the Book of Life By the Saviors hand. Born again to a living hope Savior Jesus died for me He paid my sins eternal debt His atonement set me free. Living in the light of Heaven My inheritance awaits me there Treasured rewards-familiar faces Under the Saviors care. My citizenship is Heaven bound The streets are paved with gold Created by the Master Astounding beauty to behold. No illness, lies or evil deeds No tears to wipe away The curse removed by God The animals at peace, will play. Just like a hermit crab This old shell replaced with new As earth becomes more distant Heavens narrow gate in view. To be in the presence of Jesus This hermit crab is here to stay. To lock eyes with the Son of God I cant imagine such a day.
