LIKE & SHARE this Facebook post so your Hopkins County friends will know that you support me. The local primary is over (except for run-offs) and I am the official Republican candidate for Hopkins County Treasurer on the November general ballot. I am the ONLY local candidate running against an incumbent Democrat, and I need your help. Heres why. The Local and State Republican Parties have money to allocate to promising local races like mine, but that money will only be available if I can document that I ALREADY have a successful campaign fund-raising effort underway. I need money to buy yard & highway signs, newspaper & radio ads, and candidate cards. Your prayers that Gods will be done in my race are most important. Your vote and your recommendation of me to your friends and relatives are second most important. Your contribution to my campaign is third in importance, BUT I cannot compete effectively against an entrenched incumbent Democrat without some financial support from my friends and neighbors. The time is NOW. If a large number of you put a little money where your true VALUES are, I will be able to campaign effectively until November and win this race for Treasurer, bringing that office into the swelling tide of local conservative Republican leadership. Together we can send a loud and clear message that the people of Hopkins County still value and expect constitutionally conservative common sense county government. Asking for money is awkward but vital to the success of my campaign. In return, I pledge to serve you with Accuracy, Transparency, and Accountability. Please prayerfully consider making a donation to my campaign soon. Thank you in advance! Please send your check to: Jim Thompson for Treasurer P.O. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. - C.
