LINDA UPDATE: Sorry for the late update. Today was a little less traumatic. She did have another dialysis treatment, and she may have a shorter treatment tomorrow. That will be determined in the AM by her blood tests. She tolerated it well but could not come off the forced oxygen mask. They tried but she really labored for about 15 minutes and then went back to the forced air mask. She did squeeze her doctors hand and move her foot to his request. She did seem to acknowledge mom as she read birthday cards to her this afternoon. Her birthday is Thursday. We cannot fully understand her under the mask, but she seems to attempt to communicate occasionally and raise her head. This all seems good, but her vitals are not very good and they have been using meds to elevate her heart rate and blood pressure. They are attempting to ween her from that. So she sill has a way to go, but has taken some baby steps in a positive direction. Just continue to pray that she will be comforted. Thank you all for the calls, visits, cards, etc. It helps to keep Linda, my mom Paula Jones) and Beverly encouraged.
