LITTLE KNOWN FACTS OF CHILEMBWE UPRISING 1. It is not known where exactly Chilembwe and Aida hails & their tribe. 2.The word Magomero was used to explain hw people worked from the beginning to the end of field lines. 3.William Livingstone,manager of Bruce estate owned by Alexander Bruce was related to Dr David Livingstone. 4.William Livingstone was a king(Mclear) and was sent by Mrs Agness Livingstone. 5.Injess Khomelera(cook) of Livingstone provided Chilembwe wt information abt his bosses way of living(spy). 6.Livingstone was attacked when he went out to chase a cat in the bathroom. Duncan McComic,Ass. Manager was killed the same night bt many whites were in Blantyre for a weekend at clubs. 7.Khomelera was killed at Mbomwe by the whites army from Zomba led by Captain Triscolt as they were escorting Livingstones wife Catherine.David Kaduya was in-charge of the blacks troup & took a petition to the D.C from John Chilembwe. 8.Nguludi Mission was burnt down by chilembwe troups killing 1 child and Father Sweesen was beaten left injured. He convinced Chilembwe to burn his church bell to produce mo sound. 9.John Chilembwe had a sight problem and was ill during his uprising. 10.All cases were heard in Zomba Likangala with Aida Chilembwe as a state witness and many people were killed. 11.John Chilembwe was killed by his fellow blacks his body was thrown away. 12.Aida Chilembwe was taken care of by Pastor Harry Matache Kambiri and she died in 1918 of influeza.
