LIVV bakery cafe on Khao Talo (next to the 1011 copy shop) was the breakfast venue for us today. Parking is not possible in front of the two townhouses but opposite there was a free space. The décor is classically modern (with a tea set as a chandelier); switched on service staff with a good command of English there to accompany you through the menu. We had smoked salmon on egg; a very (too?) heavy dish as the omelette alone would have sufficed, a standard breakfast (2 eggs, crispy bacon), the warm pastrami and my healthy sandwich (cooked ham, gouda, (unripe) avocado, (unripe) tomato and lettuce on oven fresh baguette) were all presented 10 out of 10 too. Coffee - despite being Illy - tasted bitter (but thats me); the latte could not have been done better in bella Italia. The improvement tips; well, they juice and blend fruits and berries are eerie and the whole coffee shops oral communication breaks together due to the really disturbing noise. In between the coffee grinder is activated to give the blender a break :-( This equipment belongs to the kitchen; the grinder in a small plexiglas cabinet as everywhere else. Whoever is purchasing the freshies should be pickier; unripe tomatoes and unripe avocados do not have to be served; it kills the customers enthusiasm over an otherwise lovely dish. Four tasty brekkies, three coffees and one cold drinking water served open in a small carafe (which I found very weird) accrued THB 1270 only; rounded up to THB 1400 as well deserved for lovely service and staff others could dream about. Well be back.
