And Ms Kardashian, she adds, is not doing anything fresh in fashion either. . . She’s not getting into the nitty-gritty, super avant-garde players. She’s not even wearing [Vivienne] Westwood yet. Her scathing verdict on the newlyweds comes only months after Anna Wintour elected to put the couple on the cover of U.S. Vogue. And designer labels such as Valentino, Givenchy - as well as the unarguably avant-garde Maison Martin Margiela - remain eager to dress the couple, while Wests second collection for APC has been an instant sellout. But Ms Cutrone says they appeal to the wrong market to be of any use to high fashion brands. Most people who watch [Keeping Up With The Kardashians] can’t afford Givenchy, she continued, acknowledging that she doesnt mean to be mean, but the couple is likely doing more to profit counterfeiters than the actual designer labels. While Ms Cutrones verdict on the couple might be somewhat extreme, so too, perhaps is Mr Wests own opinion on his influence.
