LMR (Levin Minnemann Rudess, released 2013) This album not only gave me the chance to write and collaborate with some of the finest musicians and nicest human beings I know; but I guess it also introduced my writing and multi-instrumental side to a bigger audience. Its actually kinda funny, when for almost 2 decades you write and play all instruments on your albums and then still some people go I had no idea you play guitar as well :-). But I somehow like that fact, because its always a great feeling being able to surprise. And Im really very proud of this album, for various reasons. First of all, when the collaboration started, I remember telling people around me about it: Hey guys, Im writing for this new album with Tony and Jordan.... And honestly, I mainly got an almost disinterested reaction back: Oh really?...cool,...ok lets go eat.... So of course it made me incredibly happy that later on the album came out as such a success, in reception, sales and poll results. Also, Id like to mention that I purposely wrote more like song and aura orientated material, as I absolutely wanted to avoid the 3 guys meet and shred direction ;-).
