LOCAL DJ TIED UP BY GUESTS OF HIS SHOW!! CHICAGO – On Friday, October 25, 2013, local DJ Razor found himself bound but not gagged by the guests of his popular radio show, The Razor and Die Show, which is heard every Friday from 4pm to 6pm on WLUW (88.7 fm, wluw.org, and on the TuneIn app for mobile devices). His co-host, Die, was out of town for the week visiting her cousin Lydia in Memphis, TN, and was expected to be back next week. Razor’s co-host for the week was Mike Runnels, a semi-regular fixture of the Razor and Die Show, but also the bassplayer of the wildly popular punk quartet The Tromatons. Runnels was there not only to co-host the regular show, but to also promote InFESTed ’13, an upcoming punk rock package concert featuring his band and four others from the record label Infested Records. All of a sudden, as Razor was backselling a set of music which included music by the Polkaholics and Dean III and the Wagers, he recounted suddenly finding his hands bound to the back of the spinning office chair. “All of a sudden, these guys appeared out of nowhere, who said they were from other bands playing InFESTed, including Back Alley Riot, the Wiscoholics, the Fairmounts, and Writing Since December, a concert happening tonight (Friday) at 8pm at Nite Cap, which is located 5007 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago. “I kind of knew I should have done more to try to free myself from the guitar straps which were holding my hands to the chair,” Razor later recounted, “but the guys were cool enough to feed me Doritos and give me my cola through a straw while I was tied up, and you know to be honest I was really digging the music.” It took the quick thinking of the radio station’s next show’s host to free Razor from his captivity, but Razor was so laid back about the whole thing that he didn’t even think that pressing charges would be necessary. https://facebook/razoranddieshow?ref=br_tf
