It is an excepted, but rather rare color as far as AKC is concerned. His name is Phantom. Phantom was purchased from my wonderful boss at EvenStarhounds in Ohatchee, Alabama by a family in the midwest as a puppy. Phantom wasnt a great fit for the situation, so he ended up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with me. Phantom is a medium energy dog and I expect his energy to go down a bit more with age, or if he gets neutered. In the time Phantom has been with me he has come a very, very, very long way. He lived in a barn, so he had no clue what anything was. Now he is potty trained, leash broken, crate trained, and knows a few basic commands, along with some house manners. Phantom is a great dog and it is incredibly important to me that he finds the right home to live out the rest of his life in. I personally live in a very small townhouse and my city ordnance will not allow me to have more than 2 dogs or he would stay here forever. Phantom is smart and loves to learn. He is food, praise, and toy motivated. He tries to please his people. When Phantom came to me he was food, treat, toy, and water aggressive towards my older intact male, but left my younger dog alone. I have gotten him past this and he now happily shares a dish with the other dogs. Phantom is not even a year old yet, so he will need reminding on behavior for a few more months. Phantom loves kids! My daughter is 9 and he has always been gentle with her. I was told Phantom will case barn cats, I do not have any small animals in the house, so Im not sure about that. Phantom is available to be placed as an indoor pet. He should remain in a dog crate when no one is home until he understands all of your house rules and learns your potty schedule. Some nights Phantom sleeps in his crate and sometimes he sleeps with me. He is $600.00 with full registration or $500.00 without papers. Payments can be made in cash, checks ahead of time, or you can pay via PayPaL on the EvenStar Hounds website. He is up to date with age appropriate vet care and will come with vet records. He also comes with a health guarantee from Evenstar Hounds. Phantom likes dog beds, air conditioning vents, sun bathing on the deck, taking a shower, chewing bones, doing obedience for treats, sniffing everything, watching T.V., playing with other dogs, and baying at the UPS man when I get a package.
