LOGOS: This week, while helping a friend with his logo, I thought logos would be a great topic to discuss here. Ive noticed that many authors, entertainers, designers, entrepreneurs fall short when it comes to branding their business or themselves. I see this mostly with writers because thats the business that Im in. And often times, I wonder if a new author or any author for that matter realizes that theyre not only selling books but selling a brand as well. Some of you may or may not have seen my logo (Which sits nicely on my personal page as the cover photo and is now a part of the cover on all my box sets in the upper left hand corner (examples attached). You can also find my logo inside my book just below the copyright page. How important is it? Very important! How many authors have a logo and a brand that they include on all their work? Tomorrow, Id like to touch on the importance of designing your logo and branding your business, as well as some history on other popular logos.
