LOL...this is PRICELESS! Someone from abroad sent me a message today asking me which is the best dobermann kennel in Romania. First of all I do not understand why you chose me for counselling. Its not like Im some dobermann guru. But Im glad to answer publicly since I believe this could be a topic of large interest. First and foremost, it depends what youre looking at. Cause if youre seeking show achievements, my advice is to look at how those achievements have been earned. Research, study, see if any VIP is behind the achievements. If the breeder obtained achievements the hard way, through work and years of breeding, then you can call it a deal. Super achievements in short time should raise loads of question marks. If youre focused on life span and health testing, I suggest asking whoever you choose to deal with for official papers. The fact that a breeder is posting a FB status such as : X of Y house - cardio free does NOT always mean the dog was really tested. Research the vet who performed the test. Not all vets are cardiologists! But any vet can pretend they are ;) Research on average life span of the ancestors for the puppy you wish to buy! A pup with most ancestors dead, especially dead young, is a big NO NO, no matter how beautiful it is or how many words of praise its breeder is using when describing it. These being said, I guess I already checked the necessary cases in your search engine so that you can avoid shinny glittery kennels that look like the best.
