LOMELA had her baby at Ekolo ya Bonobo!!! (good guess Carlin!) Many of you remember Lomela was one of Claudines hardest cases. She came to Lola ya Bonobo starved to death and very sick. With intense TLC from staff and other bonobos like Muanda (see photo) she was rehabilitated. You can see the before and after photos! Everyone falls in love with Lomela and In 2009 she was chosen for the first ever release of bonobos back to the wild and her success story has now come full circle. She is the mom of a WILD baby bonobo. This is what friends of bonobos is all about. Congrats to Lomela and the entire team project! p.s.
