LOOK OUT! Tonight I just want to give a short encouragement to always lookout for your number 1 enemy – self! Most of us think that our first enemy is the devil but if you think about it, we are own first enemies. I heard this from one wise man and just thought it to be true. You see, the devil has no power. He relies on the power you give him to torture you. How do you give him that power? Negative, timid thoughts of yourself. Fear and uncertainty. That’s what the devil uses mostly to torment some of us. In the second epistle of Apostle Paul’s to Timothy, we see him tell Timothy that the Spirit God has given us does not make us timid but gives us power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Therefore we don’t have to be timid in our thinking. We also see in Apostle Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians, Paul tells them to not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Remember, the devil is roaming around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Refuse to give him that power and stand firm in faith.
