LORD, lift up the light of thy countenance upon us. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee AS a bird to your mountain? But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. But I trusted in thee, O LORD, I said, Thou ART my God. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, EVEN praise unto our God: many shall see IT, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. But I AM like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: Blessed IS that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take THEM: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain; And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people. The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, EVEN the Most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. And sleekest thou great things for thyself? Seek THEM not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD, but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest. Precious in the sight of the LORD IS the death of his saints.
