LOSS OF CONFIDENCE IN THE STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITEE OF THE PEOPLES - TopicsExpress

LOSS OF CONFIDENCE IN THE STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITEE OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY(PDP) IN CROSS RIVER STATE:...... We the concerned members and stakeholders of Movement For The Advancement Of The People Of Cross River North(MADOPON) in cross river state, write to express in strong terms our dissatisfaction into the conduct of the state chairman, Ntufam John Okon and his executive members. Not only have they consistently maintained a bias posture in favor of Senator liyel Imoke, the governor of the state- in the conduct of the affairs of the party, they have actually been engaged in organizing political structures & outrightly campaigning for his successor towards the gubernatorial elections coming up. MADOPON consider this conduct of his(Ntufam John Okon) unbecoming. A sincere party leader is suppose to maintain neutrality in all matters, as well as provide a level playing field for all members to express their interest. It is the absence of these very essential ingredients of party leadership that is creating the ground for gross irregularities, fraud and manipulation in the state. Recall that some party leaders and other concerned members were agitated about these irregularities and outright manipulation when the state party chairman(Ntufam John Okon) said PRINCE GODDY JEDY AGBA is not a party man. However, we wish to state here that this renewed hope may remain a mirage if the state executive commitee as presently constituted is not relieved of its role as overseer of all elections in the state. This is because, their bias posture and manipulative tendencies in all their activities has eroded our confidence in Ntufam John Okons leadership. The grounds for this loss of confidence is as follow:....... It has become established that Ntufam John Okon and his team are campaign directors and co-ordinators in Senator Liyel Imokes governorship successor bid, and they are not pretending about it...... In the light of the above grounds therefore, we are praying that the following measure be urgently taken by the national executive commitee of PDP to restore peace and hammony in the party and to guaranty a level playing field for all aspirants as well as a free and fair conduct of all elections............ (1) Dissolution of the partys state executive commitee under the leadership of Ntufam John Okon..... Guided by this display of statesmanship and good sense of judgement therefore, we look forward to prompt attention to all the issues raised here....... We remain faithful MADOPONIANS ....... NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER!
