****LOST LITTLE GIRL**** A volunteer writes: When I first met Mandie I wasnt sure if she was a dirty white dog, or just had the most uniquely colored coat. Its the latter - she is different shades of silvery grey, the only dog Ive ever seen like it. She is incredibly beautiful, like a character out of fantasy, or a ghost. And when I approached her cage, it seemed like she was ready to play the part of a ghost! She hid in the corner and dodged my leash, eventually coming out with some coaxing. She pulled strongly - like I was the only thing holding her back from the life she had until very recently. In the pen she anxiously paced around, gazing out towards the street. Despite how nervous she was, Mandie didnt show any signs of aggression and managed to leave a very sweet impression on me. The more time I spend with her, the more comfortable Mandie is becoming - and she is more than living up to that impression! She seems to have housetraining and actually has good leash manners. Occasionally she will pull strongly in a certain direction (it really seems like she has a destination in mind!), but mostly stays close to me. She wags her tail softly when I approach her cage and sometimes utters a charming greeting. Mandie loves treats, sits for them, and takes them gently. She makes soft eye contact (speaking of her eyes - they are amber, it looks like she is wearing smokey makeup, and they are crowned with white lashes - she is really so beautiful!) and leans in when I pet her, even soliciting affection. Sometimes Mandie still seems a bit lost, but she is definitely willing to move on from whatever she came from, and find a new place to call home! https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/942521975760682/?type=3&theater
