"LOVE"... ...A four letter word that is packed with such a powerful meaning. However, sad to say that this word is often times used loosely and out of context. People tend to say "I love you" a lot. The question is, do they really mean it...? Or better yet, do they even know what the word entails...? I believe at times, people tend to confuse love with lust. One night of passion can leave a man thinking he would like to spend the rest of his life with a woman he barely knows! The real question is: are they compatible as a couple? What are her likes/dislikes? Are you the only man in her life? Does she have ambitions/dreams? She may have the kind of dreams that may lead her to a place that may not necessarily include you... I do believe I know what love is. I have loved and I also have been "in love". However, I have seen real love up close & personal and it touched my heart. As I visited my Godmother in the nursing home, her diligent husband of 66 years stood by her bedside daily, patting down her hair, helping her out of bed, to the bathroom, and feeding her when she was not able to do it on her own. Knowing the time was near, he ordered her home so that she can peacefully pass away in her own home, in his presence. Being a witness to that made me realize going forward in my life, I will never use the word loosely again! When I say "I love you", I will not only confess it with my mouth, but it will also come from my heart, body, and soul....~
