LOW DOWN – Job WEEK 1! OVERALL After a great Ladies Vintage Tea on Saturday were we saw about 60 ladies show up, we had a great day on Sunday! Church was packed with new friends and old. It was so packed in fact that the front row was full! People were taking before and after selfies for the Cut-A-Thon. Others were chomping down on burgers and hotdogs. All in all Southgate helped raise $1700 dollars to support Collide! Woo-Hoo! Did we mention we hired Aaron Hopkins as our new Pastor of Community Life! KIDVILLE Seeing new kids every week is the norm at Kidville! We were rocking on Sunday morning singing learning and playing! This week look out as we celebrate mothers day! AMPED Wow, wow, wow. Approximately 200 teens showed up for our second Collide event with Tim Neufeld. Ask any AMPED student who was there and they will tell you how awesome it was! Missed out? We have Collide weekend coming up at the end of May at Silver Lake! MUSIC: Worship was electric on Sunday! Hearing a packed house worshiping their creator is a moving experience. Love it! TEACHING: We launched into week one of our Job series. We learned that in the book of Job there are 42 chapters instead of 2. No matter what we are going through God loves to resurrect chapter 2s situations in our life and remind us that He is victorious when the book is said and done. Take heart Southgate!
