LT - 12/07 Taught to Prosper Thus saith the Lord , thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Isaiah 48:17 What a man is not taught, he cannot touch successfully no matter how he struggles. What a man did not learn well, he can never earn well from it; all he will be getting are mercy drops, never a shower of blessing. What a man never stooped down to get, he will never be able to stand up to succeed in it and sustain it! God does not give wealth, He empowers man to be wealthy. He doesnt give prosperity either, He rather teaches man to prosper and leads in the way man should go. When the One known as Rabbi or Teacher came in the flesh, the first lecture He gave was.... Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.(Matthew 4:17). Repent is not just confessing of sin, it is also having a change of mind, a change of thinking. A change of mind because another kingdom or government had come! A government that is ruled from the invisible, a kingdom you cannot be part of except you are delivered from the old one; the kingdom of the world ruled by Satan (Colossians 1:13). For those who believed Him, He taught them how to prosper in business, career, profession, trade or venture of any kind because He came to do the business of the Father too (Luke. 2:49). These are some of His teachings: => He taught Peter how to trade at periods when all his competitors have called it quits...Luke.5:4 => He taught Peter how to connect with those that carry what he needed.....Matthew. 17:27 => He taught Peter how to step into areas where others will naturally sink...Matthew. 14:29 => He taught the disciples how to use what they have to get what they needed...Luke. 9:16 => He taught the disciples how to be organised to meet their customers need...Luke. 9:14,15 => He taught the disciples how to locate the place where to pursue their purpose...Luke. 22:10 => He taught the disciples how to get what they wanted by saying what they are told by the Lord..Mark.11:1-6 When He was going, He didnt leave us without a professor; He gave us the Holy Spirit as our new Teacher (John.14:26).That was the Teacher that taught the widow of Zarepath to share her last meal, the widow of the son of prophet to borrow vessels and use what she had to get what she wanted and the Shunamite woman to give lunch to the prophet and gave him accommodation to become a mother after she has passed bearing the fruit of the womb! But the question is who will He teach?...Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.(Isaiah 28:9). He will teach only those who are childlike in His hands, instruct only those who are hungry and thirsty for His Word and most importantly, He is constantly ready to guide the meek and the humble in heart. Are you ready and willing to be taught by the Spirit? This is your week.
