LT Municpal Office to hold Forum on Environmental Issues In line with the strawberry festival celebrations, the municipality of La Trinidad will be hosting a forum focusing on the major environmental issues of the locale. The forum will be held at the municipal Gym on March 26, 2014, beginning at 8:00 am in the morning. The event will be attended by officials from the local government units and line-agencies, representatives from the different sectors and academes as well as the members of the Balili River System Revitalization Coalition (BRSRC) and other stakeholders. Some of the topics to be tackled during the said event are climate change, prevention and management of water-borne diseases, solid waste management, and the other programs of the DENR. Also, another highlight of the said activitie will be the renewal of the multi-sectoral MOA on the “Adopt An Estero” project of DENR and the presentation of its website. According to one of the organizers, Mr. Arthur A. Pedro, environment management specialist from the Environmental and General Services Office, the forum “aims to raise awareness” as it is a crucial part of solving the said problems.
