#LUPA Day Eight: A Word From Webster - res·i·den·cy ˈrez(ə)dənsē,ˈrezəˌdensē/ noun 1. the fact of living in a place. Living as an undocumented immigrant for 12 years meant nothing to me until I graduated high school, Then it meant everything... My future, my happiness, my stability, my freedom. That was twelve years ago! Todays challenge made me realize that it took 10 years for me to realize that, THAT residency, did not define my future, my happiness, my stability, let alone my freedom. After all, Residency is only the fact of living in a place. Life is what you make of it...wherever you are!
