LUREX LOVERS ALERT! Oh, ladies...My quest to find the perfect gold lurex or lame dress has been thwarted again and Im so disappointed but I have to resell. I bought this dress on etsy and I am reusing the sellers pictures. If she is on this page, I hope she doesnt mind. 34-25-36 is the absolute MAXXX measurements for this dress, and I would err on the side of 35 for the hips.* Length from empire waist to hem is 28.5 and there is an almost 2 hem if you wanted to take it down. $115 shipped in the US (extra elsewhere - inquire). I am not trying to make a profit, merely to recoup my losses as I had to have the zipper fixed (the stitching had come out - not advertised in the ad :/) and had it dry cleaned. It is a beautiful gold fabric with lurex threads. I took it for a 50s dress but did not realize when buying that the zipper is nylon so it must be 60s (see tag)...either that or the zip was replaced. There is no makers label but there is a size tag (pictured). It is an absolutely gorgeous sparkly lurex with rainbow colored metallic threads. *Although I personally am 33-26-38, I usually fit very well into even 32-24-35 dresses. NOT SO with this dress. Something about the fabric...there is absolutely NO stretch in the waist and hips. It has no slit or kick please so even getting the bottom over my bum was a challenge, and once on, as you can see in the picture, it fits on my body but is flatteningly (and unflatteringly) tight!
