La Jolla Shores Time: am Temp: extra toasty 70 degrees Viz: standard shores 20’ +/- Bumped into Jack D. this morning, who decided to join me for my usual tour, and a peak over in the Crap Patch. We waded into 2’ surf and had a nice kick out under a super bright sun. Followed the draw down into the canyon briefly, but not much was going on, so we came back up and followed the canyon contour to the Patch. The little critters were not to be found. Jack headed back to shore, and I went back down again over to the big kelp again were I was met with more awesome schooling displays by the Jack Macks. Pure joy, to float along, and into their schools. It was so mesmerizing to watch the various shapes the schools would take and even better to be able to get right up close to these fish.
