LaPorte County Treasurer Nancy Hawkins reminds taxpayers that the final due date for the 2010 pay 2011 reconciliation bill is fast approaching. The final date to pay any outstanding tax liability for 2011 is Monday, July 15th. If taxpayers are not sure whether or not they paid their bill earlier, they can contact the Treasurer’s office in either LaPorte or Michigan City to ask if they have anything due. The next tax bill to be mailed will be the 2011 pay 2012 reconciliation bill. This will be the final reconciliation bill from past tax years and we anticipate mailing this bill by August 15th. The bill for the current year’s taxes, 2012 pay 2013, will then be mailed as a single payment bill sometime in November.
