Lab Tip of the Day: GET OUT THE LAB and watch some matches! Aside from practicing and playing, a very good way to learn is to watch high level play. More specifically, players notable for their really smart play. Watch players like Raynel RayRay Hidalgo, Angel Moons Gonzalez, Steven Insaynne Delgado-Mendoza, Chris G, Justin, F. Champ, etc. Challenge yourself to understand their every move. it is easy to get lost in the prettiness of the game while watching, but ask yourself questions. Why did they move to where they did? Why did they call their assist that time? What does their body language (spacing) suggest theyre looking for/avoiding/setting up? Ultimately, your goal is to be able to analyze these things mid match.
