Labor and the union movement have really reached deep into the slime bucket in this election: THE nation’s most militant union has sparked outrage after using Adolf Hitler in an attack on the Coalition’s industrial relations agenda that included dredging up frontbencher Eric Abetz’s distant family connection to Nazism. The Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union has written to its members attacking the Coalition’s industrial relations plan, warning of the dangers of an Abbott government and the roles played by Senator Abetz and other colleagues. The material savagely attacks Senator Abetz and includes a photograph of Adolf Hitler beneath the MP, with the caption: “He (Hitler) wanted to smash the unions too.” The newsletter also revisits the fact Senator Abetz’s great uncle Otto was a senior Nazi and Hitler’s ambassador to France, which has been widely known for years...The newsletter also attacks Liberal leader Tony Abbott’s position on industrial relations and includes personal references to Coalition industry spokeswoman Sophie Mirabella’s former relationship with an older man. Scum.
