Labors so-called faceless men are behind the decision to install Luke Foley as the partys New South Wales leader, the states Treasurer says. Mr Foley, the Oppositions environment spokesman, was left as the sole candidate for the partys leadership after fellow frontbenchers Michael Daley and Steve Whan pulled out. The leadership race was sparked by the resignation of opposition leader John Robertson, who stood down after revealing he wrote a letter to a government department on behalf of Sydney siege gunman Man Haron Monis in 2011. Mr Daleys withdrawal on Tuesday came a day after he declared he would not be pulling out of this contest under any circumstances.
