Labour mobility In the past years the Dutch government has stepped up its efforts to ensure workers’ rights in the Netherlands. Fundamental principle is equal pay for equal work. People from other EU countries risk infringement of this principle more than their Dutch colleagues. Often because they are simply not aware of their rights and obligations. Part of the measures is therefore to increase information about the Netherlands in countries of origin, like Romania. To make sure that information actually reaches the right people, we aim to work at a local level as much as possible. Now looking forward to our first visit to Suceava and Falticeni to discuss with local authorities and other people.
