Lacey Turner on Eastenders: I panicked I had forgotten Stacey when I returned Returning to EastEnders has been quite surreal mainly because after an hour of being back on set, I felt as though I had never been away. I had known for a while that I would be returning but it was all very top secret – in fact I was told only a few people at EastEnders knew and they had given me a code name! So once the news was out it was a relief as I could finally tell people about it. I was really excited to return as I know that Dominic (Executive Producer) knows Stacey so well and he is a fantastic story teller so it was a no brainer for me. Dominic was across all of Stacey’s big storylines the first time round and I trust him with Stacey’s life. The day before I returned to filming, I did have a slight panic that I had forgotten Stacey but that soon went as soon as I was back on set with Shane and Jessie. I also returned to the same dressing room I had the last time and so many people behind the scenes are still there so it honestly felt like I had just been on a short holiday! I haven’t been on screen that much since the first sighting of Stacey but it is lovely that the audience don’t seem to have forgotten her.
