Ladies Set For Hibs Challenge The two sides battled it out in May at Garscube, Glasgow and after an entertaining match, both left with a point following a 3-3 draw. Coming into this game Hibs sit in second place in the league, five points ahead of the Gers and the capital side secured two new signings in the summer break. Kayleigh McConnell arrived from Celtic and Lucy Graham moved from Forfar to join their ranks. Whilst adding two players, two also departed with Caroline Weir signing for Arsenal and Claire Emslie returning to her University in the United States. Rangers add new signing Amy Harrison to the squad for Sunday’s game, the versatile Canadian desperate to make an impact in the SWPL for the club. Both teams have suffered defeats to Glasgow City since the re-start after the summer break with Rangers losing 2-0 at home to the 2012 League champions and Hibs falling 4-0 to them at Petershill. However competition for second spot in the SWPL is hotting up, with Spartans only a point behind Rangers now and looking to stake a claim. Ger coach Angie Hind said: "Last time we met this season it was a thrilling 3-3 match and a great advertisement for the women’s game so I hope we can attract a good crowd to Petershill on Sunday. "Hibs have been impressive so far this season and deservedly sit in second place therefore we are looking forward to the challenge. Having a few players returning from injury this week has been a timely boost."
